What is a Text Message?
A text message is a way to communicate with cellular phones without talking.  “Text message” and “SMS” are often used synonymously.
What is a Keyword?
A keyword is a unique word assigned to a specific SMS campaign that you send to a short code to prompt the system for an action. For the customer’s ease, you are advised to keep the keyword short and relevant to your campaign.
What is SMS?
SMS stands for Short Message Service and is the standard by which all phones send and receive text messages.
What are the size limitations of a Text Message?
Standard text messages are limited in size to 160 characters.  This includes all letters, numbers, symbols, spaces, and punctuation.
Who can receive Text Messages?
Nearly every cell phone in service today can send and receive text messages.  Many wireless providers include text messaging with their service plans.
 
Do my customers get charged to receive text messages?

Not from us. However, wireless providers typically charge 10 cents to consumers who do not have text messaging included in their service plan.
What is a short code?
A "short code" is a 3 to 5 digit phone number that is used especially for cell phone services. By sending a special "keyword" to a "short code" you can get SMS subscriptions for various value added services for your mobile phone.
How are Short Codes used?
Short Code programs have to be individually approved by each wireless carrier to prevent spammers and marketers from sending unsolicited messages into their networks.
 
Do I need a Short Code?
No. Our program and tools are approved by carriers to allow qualifying programs to share one of our existing short codes. The KEYWORD you choose is your unique identifier. Please note that we are very particular when approving programs for an existing short code and that we regularly report new programs to wireless carriers to ensure continued compliance. However, we can also get you a dedicated short code or host your existing one.

What is an Opt-In?

If you want to send someone text messages, you must get their permission. Your customers 'Opt-in' by texting your KEYWORD to the short code.
What is a Double Opt-In?
It is when the consumer confirms their intent to subscribe to an alert service by responding to the welcome message with YES or JOIN.
How do my customers Opt-Out?
Users Opt-Out by sending STOP to our short code.
 
Is there a limit of keywords for a campaign?
One keyword can be used for only one campaign at a time.  

What is a campaign?
A campaign is a mobile related application which has certain keyword associated with it. Each campaign has a dedicated keyword and a specified maximum price per message.

How many Keywords can I have?
As many as the campaigns you are running at a time.

Once I have purchased my keyword, can anyone else purchase the same name?
No, you will have sole access to the particular keyword for the duration of your subscription.

Can I sell both physical and digital products?
Yes, anyone can use M7mobile to sell any product to a mobile phone quickly and easily.

How does M7mobile work?

Do you have any solutions for content rights management?
Yes, any merchant can protect any content by authenticating against M7mobile’s authentication service.

Can you support ACH settlement?
Yes, we support ACH, wire and settlement by check.

How much does the service cost?
M7mobile charges a small transaction fee for each transaction.   

I already have a merchant account set up for my business.  Can I still use your service?
Yes.  M7mobile can provide you with a mobile optimized purchase experience for your consumers tying into your existing merchant account.

Is M7mobile PCI complaint?
Yes, M7mobile is PCI compliant and certified.

I have heard a lot about your “single click” credit card solution.  What makes it so unique?
All other examples of mobile commerce fall short as they require a web based sign up because these other companies do not trust their ability to uniquely identify users or establish a secure connection with the device. M7mobile uses proprietary technology to securely link your credit card information to your mobile phone on the first transaction.  All future transactions are “single click” whereby you just click the buy button and you’re done.

How secure is your credit card billing solution?
M7mobile offers the only PCI compliant, secure “single click” check out solution in the mobile industry.  PCI compliance is the credit card industry data security standard.

I have hundreds of products to sell.  How difficult will set up be?
M7mobile offers dynamic bulk uploading of multiple SKUs allowing for dynamic purchase page creation on the fly.


Can I sell products on a web site?

Yes, merchants can sell a product on a web site and we’ll deliver a receipt to the email address provided as well as the mobile phone number provided. 

What customer service and CRM tools do you provide merchants?
M7mobile provides merchants with an online tool that enables a variety of services.  These include:  refunds, cancellation requests, renewals, updating of credit card information etc.   Every customer receives a mobile receipt which includes all product and customer care contact information.

Does my carrier support M7mobile?
M7mobile works across all handsets and carriers worldwide.

M7mobile accepts payments in over 150 currencies worldwide.
